A good night’s sleep plays a huge part in maintaining good health, but there are various conditions that can limit the quantity and quality of sleep causing poor daytime functioning and poor health.
At Island Sleep Clinic we offer a full diagnostic assessment, to discover the cause of your sleep problem, and a comprehensive treatment plan. The initial consultation is focused on understanding the full history of your sleep problem, the factors that may have caused it and maintain it. An examination and blood tests may be needed. Further questionnaires and a sleep diary are often suggested prior to a follow-up appointment when the diagnosis can usually be made. A treatment plan will be discussed and the need for further appointments will depend on the nature of the condition and type of treatment chosen.
